PROJECT 2: MANUAL VS SYSTEM

4.1 Description of project and screenshot
As mentioned, I had been assigned to store department also and when working at the department, I also had been assigned a project which is to calculate the quantity for 60 types of product that had been used in the Tuesday meeting.

After knowing the 60 types of products that need to be calculating, I need to find their location. The store department is large and I had been given certain places to find the 60 types of product to be calculated.

The third process is to calculate the quantity once the product had been found.

The fourth process is to compare all the quantity that are counted by the system with the quantity that are been counted manually.

The fifth process, once after the comparison of products, is to adjust the quantity in the system. The system had just been develop from past years and there are some mistakes for the quantity problem and the reason for using manually calculation is to amend the error or problem that had been made from the system.

The last process is print out the list for to be used in the meeting session.

4.2 Roles and responsibilities
In this process, as a store department employee, I must always beware of inputting the correct information of product details. For example, adjusting the product quantity that are similar code but different type like “A-1222” and “F-N1222”. If the mistake had occured, the system will be not accurate and it will affect the whole company function. For example, account department will calculate wrong for the budget to be used, production department will produce more or less for the product and the sales for the company also will been affected. Not an easy job to settle the problem, because it has to pass through few departments to access it, just likes my supervisor had to calculate again the products, changing the quantity in the system, amend the report that will been in used during the meeting. Once in a while it will get troublesome, because the store products will keep on changing because of transfer in and shipment out. By having this situation, each time the comparison for the product will not be accurate with the system. That is the reason I had been assigned for doing this task.
