TRAINING ANALYSIS

5.1 Strengths and weaknesses

Training in Hawk Soon Hin Sdn Bhd will be treated some strengths between. Some of the company will not hire disabled employee but our company does. Furthermore, the company also provide some benefits to the disabled employee like the employee will have the benefit for getting a free ride to the restoran nearby for their lunch during rest time. The second strength was the working environment is really good and suitable for employees to work at. The utilities in company were sufficient. There is no restricting for employee to converse as long as the job that assigns to do must completed. Other than that, the company also will provided the lucky draw event during at the end of the year so that the employee will feel happy with their work and the main reason that the company made this event is to make employee feel that while working they also can get free gift and also enjoy the facilities the company provided. In the company, for those department which had hit the target for the year also will get extra bonus for the year, while for those department that doesn’t hit the target also no need to be unhappy because they also will get the bonuses but will be slightly lower than those department that had hitting the target.  
There weren’t many short comings since as an intern I was given a lot of support by my supervisor and other fellow staff. There is a major problem that I encountered in the company. It is the problem of lunch time hour. Suppose the lunch hour is happening in rotation between the staffs, but this company is having their lunch time at the same time, and because of nobody willing to be tolerant to each other’s, therefore, result that all labour worker are not willing to line up for their biometrics thumb print and punch card machine. I as the new comer will be pushed to behind until wasted the 5 minutes of my rest time.
In terms of cultural differences, I must say that nobody should expect it as easy to integrate in a different culture. But the difficulty was not based on the way I was welcomed here, it was that I needed some time to feel comfortable with my new environment.

5.2 Knowledge/skills gained

The first valuable knowledge that I had and understand from the workplace is that the programming skills which I had learn from my supervisor. My supervisor had shown me the software that been used to develop the system and the programming code which will cost almost 20 and more pages with estimation of 100 and more lines for each pages. Those programming codes are learned during in the degree and master session of my supervisor during in the past. He had taught me some of the codes like “php.” which can be used to make the strings of characters into the readable data that wanted to be read by the computer.

Secondly, continuous improvement also had been taught by my supervisor. He also taught me that each people will make mistakes but need to learn from mistakes. By that few words, he had encourage me to continuous improvement and don’t feel demotivated because of a small errors.
     

Next, the spirits of teamwork and this is what I have come across for the 20 weeks of internship. As a member of the organization, I believe teamwork is better and more effective than working individually, because I was able to contribute my ideas and insights in our works.
Other than the knowledge of being proper attitude toward working, I also learn more about how to assign the job to those software. For example, adjusting the system product quantity in the system, calculating the product in the store with an improper situation and came out the report to be printed for to be used in the meeting session. I also had learned of how to handle the transfer of product from other department to the store department. Furthermore, I also had learnt of how to communicate with other region people not only Muslim and Hindu but also Myanmar, Nepal and Indonesia.

5.3 Suitability of placement
From my experience I can wholeheartedly recommend internship programme in Hawk Soon Hin Sdn Bhd to everyone who would like to experience an organization that has in my opinion realized their vision to find the balance between being progressive, able to balance human concerns, technical considerations and nevertheless being highly successful. What you have to bring with you, is the willingness to improve knowledge about the environment, your work experience and you have to be able to work independently, self motivated and you must solve smaller problems on your own. Anyhow, if you’ve got into some serious trouble you will always find somebody assisting you to work it out.  That are some reason that I agree to having training at Hawk Soon Hin Sdn Bhd.

 5.4 Recommendations/Suggestions
Very special thanks to Hawk Soon Hin Sdn Bhd which accept my internship position. The venue of the company is quite far from my home. It takes time around 45 minutes to arrive. But for me is not a problem because I had my friends that are living at nearby. Of course, for those who don’t have friends staying at nearby, they can rent a room or a house to stay for the period. The expenditure over there was low and has a lot of economic shop to spend for your lunch due to internship had only the little allowance. But, most of the company does not have any allowance for the internship student.
Hawk Soon Hin Sdn Bhd considering as a large company and I believe most of the people knows this company as well. The knowledge or skills can be gain in the company was a lot, it just depends on your learning attitude. In this company, they are more emphasize in the product quality and customer service. Customer service was a good experience to be gain because you can learn how to communicate and socialize with different people. It might be useful for your future live.

Other than that, we also can learn about the criteria for selecting the suitable job for ourselves. A suitable job can be effect of your future plan. Learn from the field that you wish to know more and don’t be haggle to learn the extra knowledge. When searching job, apply with full effort to success it. By the way, we must understand the background of the company before we enter to interview. Fully prepared might help you to perform well in the interview conversation.
Furthermore, industrial training is a good activity that every student must conduct, because it let us learn out of the study fields. In this activity, it can let the student think maturely about their future and ready for the challenges in the future.
I’m fully recommending the other student to conduct their internship in Hawk Soon Hin Sdn Bhd. Key note, manager of the company is always welcome the internship student especially IT programming student.
